  1. Our Annual ISO Audit and Continuous Improvements

It’s that time of year once again. That’s right, it’s time for the annual ISO audit. In case you don’t already know, ISO is an international organization that devises a number of voluntary industrial standards.

Basically these audits are a way to make sure that we’re keeping up high levels of quality and that we’re not overlooking issues in any aspect of our business. We review every part of our day-to-day operations, from engineering to shipping and receiving. Just because we have our own quality system in place and don’t see the ISO standard as a hard and fast requirement, it doesn’t mean that these audits can’t be extremely helpful to us. They are an extremely valuable tool that can help us see where we can become better and more efficient. It’s our way to ensure that our quality systems are up to par or, preferably, exceeding top standards. Technically, while you only need to perform the audits every three years, you can always perform a surveillance audit in the years between the customary, full audit. This is a great way for us to make sure we’re staying on top of things every year.

Naturally, we never have any trouble with our audits. We owe this to a well-established quality system that is a perfect fit for our business. In addition to that, we are constantly making improvements and boosting our efficiency. That’s the main benefit to these ISO audits. You’re encouraged to have a system and stick to it. More than that, you’re encouraged to improve it. We’ve heard that the ISO standards may see some major changes in the next few years, but we’re confident that we’ll continue to meet and exceed these requirements.
